Quentin Tarantino

Tarantino draws influences from elements such as Pulp novels, Grindhouse cinema, comic books and far east weaponary. He has developed an original style of film making, but still shows influences from other film makers and styles.

There is always the theme of crime in his films, with the basic characters having an added depth to their persona. The usual gangster duo (or team), often dressed in suits, the femme fatale and ruthless boss.

His films often take on the characteristic film noir moods of paranoia, despair, claustrophobia and nihilism, constituting a world that isn't expressed through the films terse dialogue or confusing plots, but through their remarkable style.
